The Opportunity

We are looking for an HR Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you’ll support recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, payroll coordination, and much more. Your dedication to detail and ability to build meaningful relationships will help ensure a thriving and inclusive workplace for all.

 

What You’ll Do

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Develop job postings, screen candidates, and coordinate interviews and reference checks.
  • Facilitate a welcoming onboarding process, ensuring new hires feel supported and valued.

HR Administration:

  • Manage employee records with accuracy, ensuring compliance with privacy and confidentiality standards.
  • Maintain and champion the HRIS system, assisting staff and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Process employment changes, draft letters, and verify employment details.

Payroll and Benefits:

  • Collaborate with payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing of pay.
  • Administer disability and leave management, including tracking and form completion.

Employee Engagement:

  • Organize employee engagement activities to promote an inclusive and collaborative workplace culture.
  • Develop internal communications to keep employees informed and connected.

Project Support:

  • Assist with employee relations documentation and support team programs.
  • Contribute to HR projects, including learning and development, total compensation, compliance, and organizational initiatives.

 

What You Bring

Education & Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in HR or administration, with a proven track record of success.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills tailored to various audiences.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and knowledge of labour and safety laws in BC.
